Colon Hydrotherapy Cleansing Programs

The environment within our intestines plays a vital role in our health and the optimal functioning of all our cells and organs.

Colon hydrotherapy is one of our core purification therapies which is essential for the reduction of unwanted bacteria and parasites, for the restoration of the natural bio-flora and the removal of residual waste products that have adhered to our intestinal wall for years and decades.

Please note that more updated information can be found on our sister site, Clear Colon

Our Colon Hydrotherapy Units

We offer both the ‘Closed System’ and the ‘Open System.’  Neither is better than the other, with advantages to either system being more of a personal preference.

Closed System

Even though we have switched from the ‘Closed System’ to the ‘Open System’ it is important to know the difference.

The Closed uses a single use speculum and tubing, the speculum being inserted into the rectum to deliver filtered, body temperature water into the lower section of the large intestine, and the speculum is also the gateway or outlet through which fecal waste exits the colon into the tubing attached to the colon unit.

This waste passes through an illuminated glass tube so both you and the therapist are able to make observations: color of stool, undigested foods, parasites and eggs, fats and whether the stool is soft, hard or dry.  All these may help to identify gut and digestive issues.

The pressure or flow of water from the unit through the speculum and into the colon is extremely gentle.  As the water slowly fills the colon, a slight pressure will stimulate the intestine to mildly contract.

At this moment, the client experiences the desire to evacuate, and the therapist simply opens a valve to all the fecal matter to evacuate the colon through the tube.

Open System

Our ‘Open System’ uses filtered, gravity fed, body temperature water which flows through a sterile disposable, rectal speculum which is about the diameter of a straw which is inserted into the rectum.

After demonstrating how to gently self-insert this speculum, our therapist leaves the room to provide total privacy.  She will then reenter the room to ensure your comfort and familiarity with the unit’s operation.

Your therapist can remain in the room if you wish or you can request to be alone for your session.

Each session begins with a gentle, continuous flow of water through the rectal tube into the colon.

When slight pressure builds, you can release this water, with stool, at any time.  This process is repeated over and over again.

The major advantages of this unit are the following;

  • Having a thin speculum allows any sized stool to pass.  This is especially helpful for people who are impacted or stools that are very large and hard.
  • People with hemorrhoids or anal fissures do much better with the thin speculum, open system.
  • People prefer to self-insert the thin speculum, for privacy reasons.
  • They feel more comfortable being alone during their treatment.

Parasites & Colon Hydrotherapy

Parasites primarily inhabit our upper and lower intestines and thrive upon various nutrients in our food, especially iron and vitamin B12.

Some even attach to the wall of the intestines to extract nutrients from our blood.

Their waste secretions pass through the intestinal wall to act systemically producing a wide variety of physical and mental symptoms including;

  • weight loss
  • weight gain
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • insomnia
  • chronic fatigue
  • weakness
  • various abdominal symptoms
  • and many more.

Generally our culture and medical profession consider parasite infestations as a Third World issue yet this is far from the truth.

If you suspect that parasites might be an issue, please speak with either Lori or Dr. Haskell.  There are several natural herbs , prescriptions for parasites and probiotics which are very effective.

Pre-Colonic Hydrotherapy Enhancements

Whole Body Vibration

10 minutes: $20

Before each colon hydrotherapy session we recommend standing on our Vibration Machine to gently shake every cell and organ of the body, to loosen attached residues in the colon and to stimulate lymph flow.

This therapy facilitates the elimination of bowel waste during the colon session which follows immediately afterwards.

Massage, Lymphatic Drainage & Reflexology

50 minutes: $65

Any of the above or a combination thereof is available depending upon the wishes and needs of each client.

What you desire will be discussed with our therapist at the time of your session.

The idea of having a session before a colonic is that the more relaxed your body is the more beneficial and productive will be your colon session.

ozone slc

Post Colon Hydrotherapy Add-ons

After your colon session we can provide ozonated filtered water.

Ozonated Filtered Water: We’ve seen many remarkable benefits when finishing a colon session with ozonated water.  Parasites and other foreign invaders in the colon thrive in a low oxygen environment.  The combination of oxygen and ozone will kill any foreign organisms which should not be in the colon.  We’ve got the photos to prove it!! ($10)

Who Benefits from Colon Hydrotherapy

The environment of our intestines has a tremendous influence on how we feel and can be the underlying cause of many complex health issues which cannot be resolved with pharmaceuticals or supplements.

Some common complaints which can be greatly helped with colon hydrotherapy are the following;

Liver Issues
Poor Appetite
Abdominal Bloating
Poor Sleep
Bad Breath
Coated Tongue
Mental Fog
Poor Circulation

How Many Colonics Are Recommended?

Even though one colonic will be helpful it can never be sufficient to cleanse the colon.

We truly believe that a series of colon sessions should be scheduled.

But before this, set an appointment with one of our colon therapists who will take into account your condition and recommend specific herbs and supplements which will enhance the benefits of this therapy.

She will also help you to design a nutritional program which is specific to your needs and lifestyle and will cover which foods to include in your diet and which to eliminate. ($70)

A series of up to 8-10 colon sessions is best with the first 3 colonics taking place over a 7-10 day period.  After that we recommend 1-2 per week since the ecology and health of your intestines are improving from the supplements and nutritional recommendations.

We will certainly work with each person since their needs may be more immediate and wishing for more rapid results and benefits.

How to Prepare for a Colon Hydrotherapy Session

You will receive a number of suggestions from our colon therapist but here are some obvious things to note.

On the day before and the day of a colon session avoid the following: alcohol, pasta, bread, red meat, fried foods and dairy.

Also drink two or three times as much spring water as you normally would, plenty of herbal teas and fresh, organic, low glycemic vegetable juices.

We also recommend increasing fiber rich foods such as fruits and raw vegetables, and eating lean proteins and steamed rice.

Do not eat any solid foods two hours prior to your session and to stop liquids about an hour before your session.
