Genetic Testing

Genetics, and how they influence our physical and mental health, hit the medical scene with great hope and expectations.

We thought, through gene manipulation, that illnesses could be cured and prevented.  It didn’t turn out all that well, because medicine is about altering genetic code, which is playing God.

We are extremely excited to be using a research lab for genetic testing, which is superior to 23 and Me, and is able to feed a person’s genetic code through a software program to not only understand genetic weaknesses, SNPs, but to prioritize the primary bottlenecks with gene expression.

This information from the software also provides practical data around nutritional deficiencies and how to up-regulate and correct gene expression.  It does not repair the gene but helps to modulate its activity.

Since we believe that chronic illness is due to a decline in cellular function, and that the three causes for this are nutritional deficiencies, environmental toxins, and low-grade, chronic, system infections, which release biotoxins, this genetic footprint enables us to understand more about these underlying causes and how to specifically address them.

The test kit and software analysis are $350 and sitting with Haskell to review the results is a separate charge.  This is usually a half-hour but can sometimes be included with your first visit if done ahead of time.
