Scheduling & Questions

You can certainly call during business hours to ask questions but hopefully this page will provide most of the answers.

Every new client who calls to schedule will be asked for a brief description of their health issues.

Our intake questionnaire will then be forwarded to your email address to be completed and attached to a reply to our clinic, along with any recent lab results.

Dr. Haskell will review your answers to the intake, and labs if you have any.

It is very likely that Haskell will need additional labs to understand the underlying causes for your symptoms.

If some labs are missing, a list of these labs will be forwarded to you via email to be approved by you.

See below for more information on lab testing.

Labs

There are 2 options for getting labs done.

The 1st is, if you have insurance, Haskell will compose a letter with a list of the recommended labs including the proper CPT coding for insurance.

This signed document, forwarded to you by email, is printed and taken to any lab, though we prefer Labcorp of America.

They are a great lab and will help process the lab costs with your insurance company.

They also have a very fast turnaround, with results being forwarded to us via email the next day.

The charge for this letter is $20.

The 2nd option is to pay cash and come to our clinic for a Labcorp blood draw.

If you live quite a distance from our clinic, we can email the Labcorp requisition which you can print and take to any of their service centers.

You will still need to pay us cash for these labs.

Again, almost always we will receive lab results the next day.

The cost of your labs will depend upon which are recommended.

In either case, option #1 or #2, you will receive instruction about preparing for the lab draw, i.e. fasting, etc.

Consultations

An appointment will not be set until all the labs are complete.

Various times are set for new clients including the following:

  • One-half hour; Usually a simple issue or sometimes people only want to have a dark-field microscope visit. ($125)
  • One hour ($200)
  • One and one-half hour; This is the typical new patient consultation time for more complex health issues. ($300)

During the hour and a half consult, you can expect the following;

  • An in-depth review of your present symptoms
  • A chronological review of the development of your symptoms
  • A review of other relevant information such as surgeries, medications, allergies, etc.
  • Review of lab results to understand biochemical and hormonal imbalances and how they relate to your symptoms and condition.
  • Viewing a tiny finger prick of blood under a dark-field microscope.
  • If important, the use of electro-dermal screening, checking energy or chi of various acupuncture points, for additional information which the lab tests may not have revealed.
  • If important, a physical exam.
  • A summary of findings.
  • Explicit notes around suggestions, which might include supplements, herbs, nutrition, lifestyle changes, cleansing and detoxification, and possibly other treatments and therapies offered at our clinic.

Follow up appointments can range between 2 weeks and a month out from the 1st consult.

These visits are typically a 1/2 hour with a cost of $125.

We do not deal with insurance companies except for providing you with the lab letter.  We reserve the right to not respond to an insurance company requesting information.

We do take HSA or Health Saving Account cards.

You will receive copies of all your labs and receipts which you need to take responsibility for their safe keeping.
