Scheduling & Questions

You can certainly call during business hours to ask questions but hopefully this page will provide most of the answers.

Every new client will be asked for their phone number.  As a courtesy, Dr. Haskell will call you to understand the reasons you wish to schedule.

If agreed, an intake questionnaire will be forwarded to your email address to be completed.  You will also be asked to forward any recent lab results.

Dr. Haskell will review your answers to the intake and your labs if you have any.

Typically Haskell will request additional labs to further investigate underlying causes for your symptoms.

A list of these labs will be forwarded to you via email to be approved by you.

See below for more information on lab testing.

Labs

If labs are requested there are two options.

The first is to pay us for labs.  You will receive the list of labs and the cost.  When paid we will forward a Labcorp requisition which you’ll print and take to one of their service centers.  To locate the nearest lab to you, go to labcorp.com.

The second option, if you have insurance, is for Haskell to provide a lab letter which lists the labs as well as the proper ICD diagnostic codes for insurance.  There is no guarantee that your insurance provider will cover these labs but most of the time they will.  There are often coverage issues with Medicare.  The cost for this letter is $20.

You would print this letter and take it to a lab for the blood draw.

Whether you pay us out of pocket or you request the lab letter, once your blood is drawn we usually receive your lab results the next day.  When they arrive you will be called to schedule an appointment.

You will receive instructions about preparing for the lab draw, i.e. fasting, etc.

.Consultations

An appointment will not be set until all the labs are complete.

Various times are set for new clients including the following:

  • One-half hour; Usually a simple issue. ($125)
  • Microscope and simple issues for 45 minutes ($175)
  • One hour ($200)
  • One and one-half hour; This is the typical new patient consultation time for more complex health issues. ($300)

During the hour and a half consult, you can expect the following;

  • An in-depth review of your present symptoms
  • A chronological review of the development of your symptoms
  • A review of other relevant information such as surgeries, medications, allergies, etc.
  • Review of lab results to understand biochemical and hormonal imbalances and how they relate to your symptoms and condition.
  • Viewing a tiny finger prick of blood under a dark-field microscope.
  • If important, the use of electro-dermal screening, checking the energy or chi of various acupuncture points for additional information which the lab tests may not have revealed.
  • If important, a physical exam.
  • A summary of findings.
  • Explicit notes around suggestions, which might include supplements, herbs, nutrition, lifestyle changes, cleansing and detoxification, and possibly other treatments and therapies offered at our clinic.

Follow up appointments can range between 2 weeks and a month out from the 1st consult.

These visits are typically a 1/2 hour with a cost of $125.

We do not deal with insurance companies related to visits.

We do take HSA or Health Saving Account cards.

You will receive copies of all your labs and receipts which you need to take responsibility for their safe keeping.
